Rob Spiegel M.D.

Dr. Rob Spiegel is the founder and chief physician of Signature Health, PC.  In 2008, Signature Health was founded on the premise that every patient deserves the time and individualized attention to address his or her wellbeing, particularly in a time of need.  Dr. Spiegel’s concierge medical practice has served hundreds of patients over the years providing same-day or next-day care.

Dr. Spiegel is also the Medical Director for Compassus Hospice in Birmingham and the Medical Director for Palliative Care and Informatics with St. Vincent’s Health System.  Since 2002, he has served the Birmingham community as a member of the Hospital Care Associates of St. Vincent’s Hospital and has been an instructor for Carraway medical residents, the University of Alabama’s nurse practitioner students and Samford University’s pharmacy students.

Dr. Spiegel previously worked with Carraway Methodist Medical Center in Birmingham, AL.  During his tenure, he served as the Chief Resident in the Department of Internal Medicine, was the Attending Physician for the Department of Emergency Medicine and was a Flight Physician on Carraway’s renowned Lifesaver Helicopter.

A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Spiegel earned his undergraduate degree in Economics from Davidson College in 1989, completed his premed studies at Georgia State University and earned his M.D. from Mercer University School of Medicine in 1998.

He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians, the State of Alabama Medical Association and the Jefferson County Medical Association.

Dr. Spiegel and his wife, Monica, have one son and live in Forest Park.  In his spare time, he volunteers with Scouts BSA, enjoys high-adventure trips with friends and traveling with his family.  

Morgan Nguyen graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2017 with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. From there, she worked as a Nurse at Ascension St. Vincent’s Birmingham on the cardiac step-down unit. She then started working at UAB Hospital in the Cardiopulmonary Critical Care ICU while obtaining her Master’s Degree. Morgan also worked as a Travel Nurse at Vanderbilt University Hospital and DCH Regional Medical Center in the Medical and Covid ICUs.

Morgan graduated with her Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2020 specializing in Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. After graduating, Morgan worked as an inpatient Nurse Practitioner specializing in Diabetes. She also has worked as an adjunct clinical instructor with UAB nursing students. Morgan is board certified with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Morgan and her husband, Mike, have one daughter and two goldendoodles. Morgan grew up in Chelsea and lives in Eagle Point. On Morgan’s off days, you can find her spending time with her family and friends. Morgan loves to travel and go hiking with her dogs.

Pamela Herron, RN

Pam Herron graduated from Samford University School of Nursing.  She went on to work as a nursing floor manager and a hospital supervisor, always making patients more informed and comfortable. Her career in management displayed a strong emphasis in oncology, orthopedics, and wound care. Pam has remained a patient advocate in all areas of service. Her commitment to her patients led her to accept a job with Dr. Rob Spiegel in private practice as his nurse. Her professionalism and compassion are a unique addition to his practice. She continues to be that caring and reliable person with a reputation for building a great rapport between medical providers and patients. She has been a nurse for over 3 decades and truly made it a career in delivering a high standard of care and support to patients. 

Pam enjoys Alabama football and the outdoors! You might find her camping and enjoying sports in her free time.
